This is the love story of Ethel and Norman Thayer, who return to their summer cabin on Golden Pond for the 48th year.  Their divorced, middle aged daughter Chelsea visits with her fiancee, Bill, and his son, Billy, and asks the favor of leaving Billy at the cabin for a month while she and Bill go to Europe.  The relationship that develops between Norman and Billy is endearing and mends the estrangement between father and daughter that we sense at the beginning of the play.  This play deals with many of the struggles all families deal with - age, rage, regret, love withheld, love unspoken, disappointment and ultimately, if we are lucky, forgiveness, acceptance and renewal. 

Performances of "On Golden Pond" are scheduled for February 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 & March 1, 2009.
